Institute Soil Fictions – in pictures

Between the 18th of May and the 21st of June 2019, the Institute Soil Fictions investigated on the presence of a mysterious underground cloud in Montrouge… Multiple participative workshops about soils and key moments of the investigation federated young and old Montrougiens alike on an artistic project following the construction of Châtillon-Montrouge’s future railway station.

A stroll with a radarist first allowed the Institute to collect Montrouge’s soil waves. These waves were then used to elaborate a musical partition and, in parallel, musical tools were created to call the underground cloud. The Institute Soil Fictions’ orchestra, formed by locals, then played this partition using the musical tools as part of a big cloud call during France’s national Fête de la musique. This key event allowed the Institute Soil Fictions, with the help of Montrougiens, to free the Cumulus Subterraneus.
